Discovering that there is a “Morrisons” supermarket non far from St. Ives it was a really good thing! ..less good is the fact that when I go there I cannot resist buying every strange thing that they sell!
…certo che no!!
***
Could I resist (and John, who was there with me, didn’t help a lot) to these purple potatoes? …of course, no!!
***
After eating some of them roasted, we decided to mash the last ones (that already had grown some small roots! :)).

I then peeled, washed and cut them. …and while I was preparing them I was enchanted from their colour, that looked a bit appetising a bit disgusting!

After boiled and drained them, John got one of his favourites kitchen’s tools, that he chose with so many attentions, as a really good English man, expert in “Mashed Potatoes”.

I cooked sausages with pork and apples, that I really like a lot! Then we prepared this dish, that here in England they call “Bangers and Mash”.
***
A quite fast dinner, but really tasty, for the palate and for the eyes!! ..I read that these purple potatoes are really good for you and they have the same properties of blueberries!
Noi NO!
I love potatoes! Imagine them having the health benefits similar to blueberries. Makes you give the lowly potato a little more respect, doesn’t it?
I’ll have to look for them at the organic market here. Thanks.
ps
hope you’ll participate in Anne’s handmade joy exchange again. check out her blog.
