– ROSSINA
– POMODORO
– FIAMMIFERO
– TESTA ROSSA
– PIPPI CALZELUNGHE

I don’t think people who don’t have RED HAIR take account that this thing involves lot of consequences (at least here in Italy)!
Since you are a child, everybody will look at your hair and you’ll always be pointed at as “the one with red hair”.
When I was a child, a little girl always asked her mother to visit the “colourful girl”…yes, I was that colourful girl!!
If you have red hair, you’ll be always covered with lot of nicknames. Here I make a list of some of the nicknames people assigned me:
– RED LION (maybe this is my first nickname. My friends from nursery school gave it to me, and every time I ran after them to stop them calling me in that way :-)),
– LITTLE RED GIRL
– TOMATO
– MATCH
– RED HEAD
– PIPPI LONGSTOCKING
– ..I’ll never stop!
Which are the NEGATIVE things in having red hair?
1) you’ll always be noticed. Don’t think you can go unnoticed, because everyone will remember you,
2) you’ll have always lot of nicknames (but this thing makes me smile!)
3) you shouldn’t wear all the colors you would like, because not every colours fits well with your hair (but, I’m not bothered about that!),
4) you won’t be able to change your hairs colours, because all the hairdresses will refuse to do that.
These are instead the POSITIVE things:
1) when you go in a shop to have your hair done, all the hairdressers will cover you with compliments. They’ll be capable of anything to make your hair,
2)everyone will remember you
3) when you make an appointment with someone you have never seen before, it’s only necessary to indicate your hair’s colour to be identified,
4) you can be proud to have a particular hair colour. Lot of people try to imitate it, …but they’ll never have a colour as yours!! 🙂
Conclusions:
I’m satisfied of my hair, and at least I’m happy for all these funny situations that happen to me for my hair:
– when people notice and remember me, even if I don’t know them personally,
– when children I meet in the streets point at me and smile,
– for all the nicknames people invented for me,
– for all the hairdressers that fall in love with my hair,
– for an hairdresser who wanted my hair to make a wig,
– for that agent of artificial colours for hair who wanted a bit of my hair to reproduce the colour (I obviously said NO).

Don’t you know?? It seems that people with red hair are endangered!!!
To finish, whatever is you hair’s colour, the most important thing is: you should be happy for what you are, you should be proud of your values and you should accept your lacks, with the convintion that, after all, nobody is perfect! Only if you are able to love yourself, then all the other people will love you!!!
Buona domenica a tutti!!!
