Ogni tanto mi diverto a costruire degli Origami modulari (http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Origami_modulare). E’ davvero divertente!!

Sometimes I enjoy myself making Modular Origami (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modular_origami). It’s really funny!! I’m not able to stand still for lot of time, but when I’m making origami I find some tranquillity and the patience that I usually don’t have!!
This that you can see in the photo was a giant origami, a present that I bring to Osvaldo, a really precious person who I know since when I was born!! He is one of those persons who everyone should know, he’s a legend for lot of people! And I’m very happy for knowing him!!
In questa foto potete vedere (sulla destra) la faccia della mia gatta curiosona!!! —- In this photo you can see (on the right) the face of my curios cat!!!
Hi Lau
Origami has alwsays fascinated me.
Many years ago a man called Robert Harbin used to appear on UK television and show you how to create various items of origami in a step by step fashion.
I could do it if I followed him but could never remember how to do it later.
Keep up your origami!
Hi Keith!
Thank you for the information!! I’ll search for this man, Robert Harbin, and see if I find some videos to watch!!
Yes, I’ll keep up my origami…I would like to transfer their shapes into architecture!!! 🙂
It’s going back a few years but I did remember his name and he is there on Google.
Interesting that you are an Architect because I’m a Structural Engineer and I work closely with Architects…. it’s a small world!
Wow!! It’s really a small world!!
Is there in UK a kind of “war” between architects and engineers?? Here in Italy engineers always say that architects project buildings that don’t have a sense, and they must do all the work with the structures…and architects say that engineers don’t have imagination!!
(hope you understand my english!)
Laura
Just got your comment on my blog – many thanks.
Much appreciated.
Laura your English super, far better than my… Italian?
Engineers / Architects are exactly the same in the UK – maybe even the whole world over.
Still, makes life interesting.
Well…that’s really funny!! People in the world think that we are very different,…we are more similar than we think!! And this is the thing I like most: knowing people from different countries to discover our similarities!! ..but I like our differences, too!! I can learn a lot from people!! And one of my purpose in life is to learn more I can from people!! …I LOVE PEOPLE!! 🙂
wow…well done!~ i doubt i can make something like that!
You should try!!! I think you’ll find it easier than you think!! 🙂
it’s difficult i think but some practice makes perfect right??? 🙂
Hello Nisa!!
Yes, you’re right!!! It’s a bit difficult, but when you make lot of them, it becomes easier!! You just need some practice!!
🙂
