UN S. VALENTINO PICCANTE - A HOT ST. VALENTINE

Prima di tutto voglio mostrarvi un’altra addizione alla mia camera: uno scaffale in legno di pino (che costava solo 13 sterline!) su cui ho potuto finalmente appoggiare la mia lampada (che fino ad adesso tenevo per terra) e alcuni libri!! E con questo mi sembra di vivere in un castello!

First of all I want to show you another addition to my bedroom: a shelf in pine wood (that costed only 13 pounds!) where I was able to put my lamp (that stayed on the floor since now) and some books!! And with this it feels like living in a castle!

Seconda cosa: i miei capelli tagliati!! Chili e chili di capelli se ne sono andati, la mia testa si sente più leggera e la parrucchiera era tanto felice e ripeteva in continuazione: “LOVELY!”, mentre mi girava intorno e tagliava, contenta del fatto che le avessi dato carta bianca!!

Second thing: my cut hair!! Kilograms and kilograms of hair “went away”, my head feels lighter and the hairdresser was so happy and kept repeating: “LOVELY!”, while she turned around me and cut. She was happy because I gave her free hand!!

Infine: spero che tutti gli innamorati abbiano trascorso un buon San Valentino!! Io sono andata al lavoro. Ho finito verso mezzogiorno e sono andata al supermercato per comprarmi qualcosa di buono da mangiare. Dato che non ho l’innamorato, ho pensato di trattarmi bene da sola, e prendermi cura di me, in questo giorno pieno d’amore!! Dato che mi piace provare le cose strane, e soprattutto le “schifezze”, ho comprato un sacchetto di Noodles Koreani che non avevo mai mangiato prima e che sembravano molto gustosi. Sono andata a casa contenta e pronta per il mio pranzo succulento!

Finally: I hope all the lovers passed a good Saint Valentine Day!! I went to work. I finished around noon and went to the supermarket to buy something good to eat. Since I don’t have a lover, I though about looking after myself and taking care about myself on my own, in this day filled with love!! Since I love trying strange things, and especially “junk food”, I bought a pack of “Korean Noodles” that I never ate before and they looked really yummy. I went home happily and ready for my juicy lunch!

Ho scelto con attenzione il sacchettino, attenta a non scegliere la versione “hot”, perchè non mi piace il troppo piccante.

I chose the pack with attention, being careful not to choose the “hot” version, because I don’t like it too hot.

Ho letto le istruzioni e sono rimasta un divertita dal fatto che i tempi di cottura indicati siano diversi nelle varie lingue!! Forse in Germania e nell’altro paese a cui quella lingua che sembra tedesco-danese appartiene, ci vuole più tempo per far bollire l’acqua nella pentola! Forse hanno calcolato il fatto che, essendo ad altitudini maggiori, hanno bisogno di 30 secondi in più per la cottura!! ..chissà!!

I read the instructions and I really enjoyed the fact that the cooking times indicated are different for the various languages!! Maybe in Germany and in the other country where they speak that other language that seems german-danish, they need more time to bring the water at the boiling point! Maybe they calculate that, because they’re at an higher altitude, they need 30 seconds more to cook it!! …who knows!!

Fatto sta che, quando ho iniziato a mangiare i noodles la zuppa mi ha baciata con violenza, e le mie labbra si sono infuocate! Chi si aspettava tanto piccante in un’innocua zuppa di noodles, che nemmeno dichiarava di essere piccante? Un bacio d’amore, che ha lasciato il segno per un pò di tempo…e io mi sono ostinata a finire la zuppa, che ormai l’avevo cotta e preparata……..e non so ancora quando troverò il coraggio di cuocere l’altro paccheto che ho comprato e che ha sopra la scritta “spicy”!!

It happend that, when I started eating the noodles, the soup kissed me with violence, and my lips became red-hot! Who was expecting so much spicy in a harmless soup of noodles, that didn’t declare to be hot? A kiss of love, that left its sign of a bit…and I persisted eating the soup, because I already cooked it….. and I don’t know if I’ll never find the bravery to cook the other pack I bought and that says “spicy”!!

Finalmente…da oggi ho internet a casa!!
