Il Martedi’ grasso in Toscana si festeggia mangiando le “Frittelle di riso”. Ieri la mia mamma mi ha mandato un messaggio dicendomi che le aveva preparate!! Qua in Inghilterra invece si mangiano le crepes, che qui si chiamano “Pancakes”.

On shrove Tuesday in Tuscany we eat “Frittelle di riso”. Yesterday my mum sent me a text saying me that she made them!! Here in England they eat crepes, instead, that here are called “Pancakes”.
I Pancakes vengono mangiati solitamente con zucchero e limone. In Italia invece, quando pensiamo ad una crepes, la pensiamo con la Nutella!!! Devo dire che con zucchero e limone sono davvero buone, …ma l’ultima che ho mangiato era alla Nutella!

Pancakes are eaten with sugar and lemon. In Italy, when we think about a crepes, we think Nutella!!! I have to say that they’re really good with sugar and lemon…but my last one was with Nutella!
C’e’ un legame strano tra gli italiani e la Nutella!! Ci sono pochi italiani a cui non piace. Tanti di noi sono praticamente cresciuti mangiando “pane e Nutella” a merenda. …io metto la Nutella anche nel Porridge qualche volta…e John mi prende in giro!

There is a strange link between Italian people and Nutella!! There are only a few Italians who don’t like Nutella. Most of us are in practice grown up eating “bread with Nutella” for our afternoon snack. …I put Nutella in my Porridge sometimes and John makes fun of me!

Io ne ho mangiati 4…e piu’ tardi ho dovuto mangiare qualche biscotto perche’ avevo ancora fame!!

Hey Laura, I really wouldn’t have known that Shrove Tuesday is Mardi Gras/Fat Tuesday as it’s not observed in my country. =/ Pancakes with Nutella? That’s a random mix, I must say. I’d usually have it with jam or spreadable cream cheese. =D
